Are panic attacks a treatable problem?
ewchloe asked:
I have had about 5 panic attacks since Christmas. The first one I had was when I was on holiday and we had walked far out to look at some coral and the tide starting coming in, I also had one after I had to leave the cinema because the film I was seeing was freaking me out to much, but recently there have been less obvious reasons, I had one of Duke of Ed last weekend and was sent home, and have now had to drop out as I’m scared it will happen again. Is there any treatment and is it worth talking to my doc about it?

Yes there is a treatment in fact, i had panic attacks as many as you had in like one week a couple of years ago, i had a panic disorder, you need to cognative therapy they give you techniques to help you stop the panic attacks, i am almost 100% better now, so evidently there is a way. Talk to your doc about it, there are also medicines that can help.
Good luck.

Panic attacks are a very treatable problem and the great news is it does not have to be a life long battle like bipolar disorder. There are a multitude of drugs out there that help. Lexapro, xanax, klonapin, so many. I suggest you google panic attacks and treatments. then with your new knwoledge have a discussion with your doctor. many , many people suffer from them and it is curable… good luck and God Speed! …Carla
