The same things dont think that you can collect benefits isnt it shame to see if resigning that way you can land safely.

You can always apply. Now, here is what happens.
When you sign up., the Unemployment dept sends a letter to your former employer, asking why you are no longer working there.
The reply is critical.
If they say you left due to lack of work, downsizing, or whatever,– something that tells them they do not NEED you to work there, then you would be eligible.
But if they reply, saying, you left on your own due to personal reasons, illness, or whatever, then you will not be able to collect unemployment.
It is what they say, not what you say, that matters.
